The PURELL advanced instant hand sanitizer, 1,000 mL refill for NXT Space Saver dispenser, is an antimicrobial gel that contains 70% ethyl alcohol to help reduce the number of germs on hands, and four moisturizers to help keep skin hydrated. This refill bag fits in PURELL NXT Space Saver dispensers (sold separately). The hand sanitizer meets U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) healthcare personnel hand-washing requirements. Hand sanitizers (also called hand antiseptics) are liquids, gels, or foams that help reduce the number of germs on hands when a small amount is rubbed into the skin; no rinsing with water or drying with towels is needed. In situations when soap and water are not available, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
